Nikhil Khanna : Managing Director
Nikhil has amassed extensive experience of more than 15 years in the field of public relations. Prior to this he was the Director at Good Relations (I), which includes media relations, event management, public affairs, financial liaison, marketing PR, community relations and industry interaction.
He handled the Airbus account for ten years from 1991 to 2001; devising strategy, building valuable relationships in the media and with influencers, developing the communication systems and processes, liaison with the press office in Toulouse, crisis management and managed campaigns that facilitated converting media opinion on Airbus's technological superiority through debates on fly-by -wire, 777 Vs. A340 amongst others.
Other clients handled by him include Cathay Pacific, SAAB Aviation, Bell Helicopter, Cartier, United Distillers, Zurich Risk Management, and Volvo amongst others. He managed the media campaign strategy for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the last election, and has managed individual candidates in four previous elections.
Nikhil is also the founder director of Friday Content Solutions, India's largest information services company catering to over 300 clients. He use to regularly write for Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Telegraph, Outlook, Verve, etc.
Nitin Mantri - CEO
Nitin Mantri is the CEO of Avian Media since last four years. Under his leadership the firm has grown from one branch four branch operations.
Prior to this Nitin was Director Pleon, a leading PR agency in Europe. At this position, he is responsible for overseeing the operations of the company, running key accounts and expanding Avian's operations in India
Nitin has over Fourteen years of experience in corporate & high-tech PR and marketing communications. He has extensive experience in strategising, planning and implementing global PR campaigns, having worked across Internet/e-commerce, telecommunications, security, management consultancy and corporate clients
At Pleon, Nitin was responsible for the UK operations as well as heading the corporate & technology B2B practices with direct responsibility of Pleon's key accounts - IBM, Nortel, COLT Telecom, Hughes Network Systems and Infosys
Prior to joining Pleon, Nitin worked with Microland as their Manager, Communications for ITspace.com in Bangalore. He started his Public Relations career at Genesis PR where he was Consulting Associate, heading the technology and corporate practice in Mumbai. He managed a diverse range of clients including Symantec, Intel, IBM, TATA Interactive Systems, Accenture, HLL, PowerGen and JM Morgan Stanley
Nitin is a postgraduate in business administration.
Manash Kalita - Branch Head Delhi
Manash has over nine years experience of Public Relations. One of the founder members of Avian Media, he presently heads Delhi office. Besides managing day to day running of this office is closely associated with running of successful campaign of some clients like BP, BAE Systems, UNAIDS, Punj Lloyd and Porsche. He brings with him a keen eye for detail, capability of executing assignments in tight deadlines and a sense of commitment towards the organisational goals of his clients
Manash has in depth understanding of various sectors-- automobile, technology, defence, travel and energy. He has vast knowledge of running national and global programmes and a deep understanding of issue/crisis management.
Prior to Avian, he was with Ogilvy Public Relations handling brands like Boeing, GAIL, 3COM and Rockwell Automation. Manash started his PR career with Good Relations India, handling major in international brands like Sun Microsystems, Guinness UDV, Airbus and Volvo.
Manash holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and a certificate in marketing communication from All India Management Association, Delhi.
Richa Gopal Shrotriya - Branch Head Mumbai
Richa heads Avian Mumbai and has been instrumental in building the businesses and team at the branch. She has been in the sphere of communication for over 11 years and has Marcomm Experience across Advertising, Corporate communications and PR.
Richa has received her education at the Sophia’s School and Sophia’s College and holds a Master’s degree in Literature and Mass Communication. Besides, strategically driving the business at the Mumbai office, she is responsible for motivating team members to high commitment and delivery at Avian.
She started her Career with The Times of India, and then moved on to PR and Advertising. She has been actively responsible for various product launches and campaigns such as The Himalayan Mineral Water, Le-Bon Cheese, Dabur, Apollo Tyres, Electrolux, Pepe, Eicher, SAIL, Eureka Forbes Limited and many more. She is also worked in close co-ordination with Government Bodies and NGO’s. She has extensive experience in running coordinated communication programmes as well as leading a team towards implementation of client goals. Her experience from across all verticals of communication practices helps in giving a holistic approach to clients.
Prior to joining Avian she was heading Abacus – a PR agency in Mumbai. She is also the recipient of the prestigious K.Rajaratnam Award.
Mohua Chinappa - Consultant, Bangalore
Mohua Chinnappa has amassed 15 years of experience in the field of public
relations both in the corporate sector as well as with the government. She
has also conducted extensive media training for personnel of large corporate
houses and CEOs.
She began her career as a journalist in New Delhi with the Observer, post
which she joined Maurya Sheraton to manage the public relations department
and was instrumental in initiating the concept of Welcomart.
She joined Genesis Public Relations as a Branch Head for Calcutta and worked
with large corporate houses. Here she handled devising strategy, building
valuable relationships in the media, developing the communication system and
crisis management.
Later she moved to Bangalore and was heading Grey Worldwide public relations
(GCI, PR Division). During her tenure here she had extensively worked with
Asia Pacific Offices, North American and UK clients.
