We’re building a different type of agency.
If there is one defining mantra for Avian Media, it is our passion to create an institution that lives far, far beyond the people who founded it. In that employee engagement is key. We follow a simple three-step Mentoring-Rewarding-Fun process to foster a spirit of trust and involvement in our workers, and, help them feel aligned with the company’s broader purpose. We also like to drag our employees outside their comfort zones and unlock their potential. How? By diversifying our workforce. We’ve hired chefs, engineers, dancers, lifestyle bloggers, mummy bloggers, daddy bloggers, fitness gurus, public policy experts, artists, designers, professional photographers (some seriously amateur ones) and others from outside the PR bubble. This creates a culture of learning and great collaboration, and gives our clients a team rich with experience and expertise.
How it all began..

Avian Media started small in a tiny apartment in Delhi in 2004, but our aspirations were and are anything but small. In those days, there were just three people, including our founding member and Managing Director, Nikhil Khanna, our Chase India co-founder Manash Neog, and our Regional Head North, Neha Mehrotra, working silently in a near-empty office. Our first clients – Airbus, the world’s largest airplane manufacturer and Sona Koyo Steering, an ancillary manufacturer for the automotive industry in India – kept us busy enough. In 20116, Nikhil and our CEO, NItin Mantri, met and the rest as they say was history.

Our Heritage

Let us tell you an interesting anecdote which well captures the essence of Avian. Our Mumbai office, when first opened in 2006, was two seats in the office of a benefactor who ejected us in six months. Then, another benefactor gave us three seats – he too had us out in a few months! That’s the way, I guess, with benefactors, we remain very grateful. We finally moved to our current Mumbai office in 2007. Along the way, we have had several adventures including a flooded office which meant us moving to a private residence, sitting on bean bags and completing the business of our clients-needless to say, none of them knew till about six months later. It’s this sense of entrepreneurialism and ‘getting on with it’ that has been hardwired into the ‘Avian Media way’.
We don’t fancy things up for clients – we tell them like it is and we work hard on deliverables. What sets us apart is the way we have achieved a delicate balance – we have the nimbleness and agility of an independent agency and the experience and expertise you would expect of any world class agency.
How it all began..
