WHY US?
Communications is changing the way we look at communications itself. We, as a complete communication solution provider take the Integrated Communication approach for better brand building and client satisfaction.
Some call it fusion. Others call it seamless. Our clients call it intelligent.
For example, once a company decides how it is uniquely able to meet a particular consumer need, every message is based on those conclusions. Since there is one message, everyone from the receptionist to the CEO can be a salesperson for that message.
At Avian we always mix the best ideas from PR and marketing to carry your messages across media after doing a thorough Integrated communications exercise.
The above approach is underpinned by a belief in the philosophy and practice of ‘media neutral planning’. In this context, the word ‘media’ is in its broadest sense - i.e. any form of communication from a clip to an ad to a conversation or a product demo.
In a nutshell, ‘media neutral planning’ starts with the communications objective, then delves far deeper into understanding the target audience (than most companies do) and only then takes a view on the appropriate communication discipline (or mix of disciplines) to use as a programme or campaign. As its name implies, it takes a neutral view of the various disciplines but requires a holistic view of which discipline can contribute in what way to a particular objective.
Why do it? This is in response to the growing requirement from clients to focus on the objectives and results as opposed to a pre-judged choice of tactical discipline. Instead of "the answer’s PR, now what is the question?" we are increasingly and rightly saying "what is the objective, who are the audience and what are they thinking and doing, then...how do we best influence them?"
This is also in recognition of the increasing overlap between media (in its broadest definition) and the blurring of boundaries between marketing communication techniques. Furthermore, a good idea can emanate from anywhere and be deployed widely. Therefore it should not be constrained by the limitations of any one discipline (i.e. PR, advertising, direct marketing etc.) when its wider deployment can better serve the original objectives. Most companies recognise this theory. Not enough practise it.
Integrated communications improves the effectiveness of a marketing programme (by cutting through traditional discipline boundaries) and the efficiency of the marketing process (through clearer briefing, clearer responsibility and reducing wastage/duplication). This improvement directly increases your communications ROI.
